This painting is very special to me as retaining the ability to cherish little things innocently for no reason like a child and to seek joy, is something that plays a very important role in my artistic expression.
It’s not easy to retain the spark you had as a child after all the layers of dust and hammering one goes through all over their lives.
It’s not even easy to select which part of childhood to hold on to as everything wasn’t great.
It’s a battle of revisiting the times you have left behind and picking up all the little details that gives you hope and leaving behind all the things that broke you and made you the person you are today.
She is one one of us, remembering, picking up and leaving behind. All at once.
And while doing this our journey continues.
And then ends.
