I have been a true, raw and shameless admirer of male beauty along with female beauty ever since I understood love. But It took me time to fully understand myself.
I saw them as equally beautiful creatures of nature who are factually walking stardusts who walk the earth like any other animal.
I have seen male beauty as a view to admire, an art to cherish, a labyrinth of emotions to unfold and Something worth desiring. What tastes bitter in this journey is how our societal structures and patriarchy have brainwashed men to become, specifically straight men. The monsters this system makes them, the devils we create by denying them love and shaming them for empathy emotions. Leading to them not understanding the worth of themselves by chasing survival and opting for cage of impression. Impression of what “MALE” should be. This is where gender roles pissed me off.
Any hierarchy irritates me. Angers me.
I have seen them beyond that, vulnerable, naked. Their heavy eyes like ocean, endless, their lips like flower to be touched. Red swollen eyes in a state of surrender. Skin and hair worth falling for.
Women have been so oppressed and dominated that in the pressure of the society we learn at a very early age to protect our worth and not fall for such beauty, because many beasts themselves don’t know what beautiful creature they could be.
I have seen the world beyond that, in the depths of darkness.
I have seen life, even in places where life was not supposed to bloom.
They could be so much without the shackles of their shallow exhibition , staged power and domination.
