MY WOMEN – 41
Srishti
I always enjoyed working on black paper,
But for a long time i didn’t make any painting on black paper.
Well,
Then Srishti slowly found her way in my imagination and again i was mesmerized by an image of a woman whose eyes held back tears, unknown to others the reason for it.
No one knew her eyes were sparkling with tears of her sorrow,or for the tears of unsuppressible joy.
But it didn’t matter to her,
She enjoyed cherishing what was happening in her mind, just the way it came naturally to her.
Like the birds chirping, trees dancing to the tune of the wind.
They don’t have any pattern, plan or goal,
They are flowing with the rhythm of the wind,
With the rhythm of time, sunlight and to everything that is nature.
Srishti means nature, creation, the whole world.
What do we know about it?
How much?
Whatever we know is just the little we could acquire knowledge about, but there is still a vast space yet to be explored.
Similarly Srishti is someone who holds so much in her,and with time and effort,it reveals.
Just like how she peeped and emerged from the darkness of my paper.
Gouache on black paper.
