What was on my mind when i painted this?
May be the Chitrangada play ( written by Rabindranath Tagore) i watched on tv as a kid.
The child did not get what was happening or the morality of it, but was fascinated by the fact how strong and amazing she was portrayed .. the attires with all the jewels and silk fabrics and royalty. And also the explorations of situation she was in , and her sexuality. I like how we used to hear stories, right or wrong aside, just the possibility of story telling was fascinating.♥️
